1. Who doesn’t love a board game on Christmas afternoon? We found this handsome backgammon set housed in a decorative faux book box, easy to wrap and easy to please. From Fontaine Decorative at an affordable £225.

2. A glass bowler hat as champagne bucket, what’s not to love? This is an absolute gem for Christmas feasting and frivolity. This vintage champagne bucket was made for Laurent Bouy in Verzy France, for the Grand Cru Brut 1992. It is a rare and novel find. The bottom is stamped `Laral, Made in France, bons en Chablais`. It is named with the champagne producer`s original hard gloss paper label on both sides. This is in tones of gold, green, black & white. Although it has been used, it is very clean and is in very good condition, with only a few very light scratches & marks on the edges and at the bottom in line with age & wear. The bottle is for display only and not included in the price £120.

3. That famous orange box! Who would not adore a vintage Hermes 'Poste et Cavalerie' silk scarf designed by Joachim Metz, 1986. In original box, appears to have had very little, if any, use. Chic luxury at £275.

4. For the Regal about town gentleman or chic Stylista – a tiny charming Victorian silver and enamel articulated brooch. Wonderful things come in small boxes! Priced at £235.

5. For that special someone, a special find and a joy forever, an absolutely beautiful large tin glazed earthenware Iznik style pottery dish by Ulisse Cantagalli (1839-1901), Florence, Italy. Some glaze chips to the rim and small chips to the foot. Makers mark to base. Rare to find in this condition and with such stunning colours. Priced at £6,000.

6. Nothing could scream Venice more than this utterly scintillating Murano goblet (tipetto) in blown glass. The bowl, etched with floral motifs, is supported by a modelled stem embellished with scrolls, applications in gold and yellow floral decorations. It rests on a circular base, also etched with a motif of small dots. (1930-1940). Luscious luxury at £165 from Bibliotheca Culinaria.

7. A covetable objet even if you don’t own a French poodle! A leather and silver plate 19th century dog collar, studded. France Critot Circa 1900, approx 16" neck in remarkable condition. Dimensions: 15cm x 22cm x 4cm. Priced at £495.

Designed in France in the 1960s by Guy le Fevre, the cabinet is beautifully made from black lacquer and brass and features an eglomise glass interior.
